Smooth. Clever. Hilarious. These words are used often to describe Sam Adams, who gained national attention by winning at the 2009 Great American Comedy Festival.
Sam's energetic, comically-insightful act is 100 percent profanity-free and filled with observations about his every-day encounters. He is a headline performer at comedy clubs and corporate events across the country. Sam also has shared stages with national-touring comedians and music recording artists -- an eclectic, genre-jumping list of nationally-known performers ranging from comedians Frank Caliendo, Craig Ferguson, Kevin Nealon, David Alan Grier and Keenen Ivory Wayans to music's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band Heart and seven-time Grammy Award winner Al Jarreau. The Denver Business Journal once gave Sam a favorable review for "bringing down the house with a string of well-delivered lines that were notable for their lack of profanity, scatological or sexual references."
Sam's "Right To Laugh" speaker presentation is garnering attention on the corporate speakers' circuit. He also has appeared in several radio and national TV commercials. He's an author, too, with a book titled 'If You Don't Believe Me: Lessons Learned from Listening To The Greats' which was released April 10, 2013. Off the record, Sam has more than 20 years of experience as a newspaper sports journalist. His work as a staff writer and columnist has appeared in The Denver Post, Rocky Mountain News and The Charlotte Observer. In 2003 Sam received the Print Journalist of the Year award from his peers in Colorado. He also is credited with television appearances on ESPN, Fox Sports, CBS and NFL Network, and has covered championship events at all levels -- most notable four Super Bowls, two Olympics, two NCAA men's basketball Final Fours, one Stanley Cup Finals and one World Series. In the fall of 2014 Sam was added as a regular contributor on the "Broncos Game Day Live" show which airs on Denver's NBC affiliate 9NEWS.For comedy bookings contact MIKE RAFTERY/COMEDY WORKS ENTERTAINMENT (720-476-5560)
